The decision to introduce a 4-inch variant into the market was driven by a strategic evaluation of the current trends and demands in the industry. It is commonly acknowledged that larger driving lights typically accommodate more LEDs within the housing, resulting in increased light output. However, in the case of the Type-X™ Evo Mini, our goal was to create a compact and versatile lighting solution specifically designed for mounting capabilities. Having a light this size opens up a wider range of applications, such as ATVs, dirt bikes, and other smaller vehicles, while maintaining the iconic light silhouette that you love.
The increasing popularity of forward-mounting ditch lights and baja-style designs, which may include an array of Mini lights mounted on a roof rack, reflects a growing trend among off-road enthusiasts. These smaller lights offer a sleek and modern lighting solution that enhances the overall aesthetics of their vehicles.
We firmly believe that our Type-X™ Mini is suited for a wider array of applications and will allow for easy installation and a seamless integration with vehicles of all sizes.
- All three M10 bolts must be used to mount the base of the U-Bracket to your vehicle. It is highly recommended that all the supplied hardware is used for the correct fitment of light.
- Before fitting stainless steel hardware, we recommend applying a small amount of anti-seize to the threads of any mounting bolts.

Type-X™ EVO Mini Cover Install
STEDI™ has designed the covers to be firm fitting. The following dictates the correct way to install the covers. Incorrect fitment may cause damage to the covers. Start by aligning the tabs on the bottom of the cover with the respective locators in the light housing. Once these are in place, press firmly down on the top of the cover until it snaps into place. Removal of the cover is as easy as placing your thumb on the top tab, pushing down on the tab, and pulling out towards you.
SOFT SHELL CARRY CASE:
We have also introduced a new level of sustainability, with a bespoke packaging design that would rival the most expensive luggage brands on the market. Each spotlight is individually packaged in a water-resistant hard case with STEDI™ filigree surrounding its every side, as well as a mesh pocket and securing strap inside, which adds next-level functionality and repurposing.
BLACK OUT / FILTER COVERS:
Our initial launch will include the standard blackout covers such as the standard STEDI™, STEDI™ Carbon. and the infamous Smiley which are required in countries with strict road regulations surrounding auxiliary driving lights. Also available are amber, and blue filter covers which alter the lights output colour temperature to assist with visibility in different driving conditions.
COLOUR FASCIAS:
Included in the box are your signature graphite grey and STEDI™ orange fascias, which have become a staple of our high-end offerings. Included in the range of available colours are grey, orange, blue, green, red, pink, and carbon fibre, all in a metallic finish with many more to come in the near future.
