Ford Ranger staggered start for high beam

You may have noticed after fitting an LED conversion to the high beam of your PX2/3 Ranger and Raptor, your headlights will stagger as they fire up.

That is a common Ford thing. All Ranger and Everest since PX2 have done this.

Ford has programmed its headlights to stage on startup. You will never notice it with the standard halogens due to the relatively slow response time of an incandescent bulb, however, if you carefully watch the staged illumination is still evident with stock bulbs. 

LEDs are highly responsive to voltage and will instantly react to the slightest hint of 12v, which why you are now noticing the staged illumination when they turn on.

Don’t be alarmed, there is nothing wrong with the LED upgrade, it's just the globes reacting to its voltage input.
