TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS WHEN ONE LED HEADLIGHT CONVERSION STOPS WORKING.
On most occasions, this usually occurs due to a loose or faulty connector, but on very rare occasions, the problem may be with one of the LED upgrade components.
We will use the process of elimination steps below to identify whether the fault is with an LED driver, LED bulb, or vehicle circuit.
The first step is to be familiar with the components.
The images below are what we refer to as the "LED Driver".
Below is what we refer to as the "LED tower"
STEPS TO IDENTIFY DEFECTIVE COMPONENT
1. Swap the LED Driver from the defective side with the working side. If the problem follows the driver, then it is likely that the LED driver is defective. Contact our warranty department to organize a replacement driver.
2. If the problem is still on the same side, please now proceed to swap the LED tower with the opposing headlamp. If the problem is still on the original side, then the problem is with the vehicle's wiring circuit. If the problem has shifted sided, then it is likely that the LED driver is defective. Contact our warranty department to organize a replacement tower.
ALTERNATE TROUBLESHOOTING METHOD | BENCH TEST METHOD
Remove the lamp from the vehicle and test it using a 12v Power Supply. The power supply may be a 12v battery, or 12VDC rated power supply. If the lamp functions properly outside of the vehicle, the problem lies elsewhere and a return would not be covered under warranty.
