Commonly pondering in the back of your mind when looking to install your first or additional LED Driving Lights is "are these legal?". In short, yes but to a degree.
Some key aspects to keep in mind when installing are:
- Wiring any Driving Lights require a piggy back to trigger via the use of your vehicles highbeam.
- Positioned in whats viewed to be the least likely to cause injury in the case of impact with pedestrians and other road users.
- Not obstructing the drivers view (Not mounted any higher than the bonnet or below the top of the windshield).
The ADR has recently been updated to accommodate the use of Driving Lights listing the appropriate positions around your vehicle that are approved as well as the maximum quantity of lights allowed to be fitted to a vehicle.
